Welcome to MCADDI

About MCADDI 2024

Biocon Academy, in association with the American Chemical Society (ACS) Medicinal Chemistry Division (MEDI) and Pharma Innovation Sourcing Centre LLC USA, proudly announce Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Discovery & Development India 2024 (MCADDI 2024), a residential course in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery to be held September 22 – 27, 2024 at the Biocon Academy Campus in Bangalore, India. This five day program will be co-sponsored by the American Chemical Society Division of Medicinal Chemistry (MEDI) and the International Union of Applied and Pure Chemistry (IUPAC).MCADDI 2024 builds on the successful Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery & Development India 2019  course, which was held at Biocon Academy in March of 2019 and drew over 100 attendees from industry and academia.

MCADDI 2024 will present the principles of Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Discovery & Development in a format that is designed for industrial and academic participants who are currently working in this area, or plan to do so. The course will include 25 lectures on target identification and hit validation, lead optimization, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, molecular modelling, bioisosteres, structure based drug design, drug-like properties, pharmaceutics, fundamentals of biologics (mAbs, bispecific antibodies and other topics) and drug development. The course presentations will include discussion of contemporary modalities including antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) and protein degraders (PROTACs and molecular glues) presented from a practical perspective suitable for medicinal chemists and other drug discovery & development scientists. At MCADDI 2024, we have dedicated several lectures to new modalities and will include topics associated with drug development, including process optimization, bio-pharmaceutics and analytical sciences as well as illustrations of integrated drug discovery and development via case history presentations. The sessions are designed to be highly interactive and the case studies are designed to enhance the learning process.
